FIRST POST OF 2004

Well, I've neglected Music and Bremertonians long enough.

It's January 20, 2004, and we finally have some good music news...

Two weeks from today, Incubus will release "A Crow Left of the Murder", which features the new single "Megalomaniac" (scroll down to "Megalomaniac Full Length Video").

Former Roots bassist Ben Kenney is now a member of Incubus, replacing founding member Dirk Lance. I'll admit, I haven't listened to the Roots too often, but if "Megalomaniac" is any indication, I think Kenney will fit in with Incubus just fine.

As for "Megalomaniac", I love it. Absolutely love it. It's a great departure from Incubus' last studio effort, "Morning View". I loved "Morning View" because it was perfect for the time it was released (October 2001), coming off of the September 11th tragedy. But it is now 2004, and Incubus is ready to get political. Check out the video at the above link and you'll know what I'm talking about.

So there you go, the first post of 2004 at Music and Bremertonians. There will be more to come here, hopefully.
